In 2003, Badger Magnetics, Inc. acquired Mag-Con Engineering including their proprietary products such as Zero Speed Switches and Rotary Speed Sensors which are field proven tough and durable with over 25 years of service in rugged mining and materials processing environments.  Other products we acquired with Mag-Con Engineering are:

Custom Transformers We have design capability for custom transformers from 5VA to 10kVA single phase and up to 50kVA three phase.   Voltages up to 60,000 volts, and from 2 to 400 Hz.  Applications can be Power supplies, Line isolation, Stepup or Stepdown.  All transformers are designed to meet or exceed the safety agency requirements of UL, CSA, IEC, CE, TUV, MIL T-27 and others where required.  We can obtain these approvals for you. Constant Voltage Transformers Three-Phase Transformers Ferroresonant Transformers	Chokes, Inductors, Reactors Chokes, inductors, reactors to be used in AC or DC filter applications or to add impedance to a circuit, or possibly in AC applications where short circuits must be handled without damage to the circuit.  These can be designed and manufactured to meet your exacting specifications.  Sizes are available to handle milliamps up to thousands of amps to handle your needs.
Coil Winding Custom coil winding is our specialty.  We pride ourselves in the ability to wind coils that others avoid.   From a smallest air core style to a multi-channel coil and up to a large water-cooled demagnetizing coil for the film media industry, we can meet the most critical requirements.  Being able to wind large wire allows us to wind coils with amperage capabilities up to 10,000 amps.	Rotary Speed Sensors  Model 250RSS Installation and Operating Instructions Brochure Mag-Con Rotary Speed Sensors are designed to detect either overspeed or underspeed conditions in rotary machinery.   The unique magnetic "Mark" sensing system allows reliable operation in adverse conditions. Dust, dirt, grease, oil, metal particles, water, or snow will not inhibit proper operation.  The system does not require gears or toothed wheels with close tolerance pickup heads.  No mechanical connection to the machinery is required.  The sense head can be placed as far as 1500 feet from the control board.   (Check with us when planning placement over 200 feet).
